This is the site for Udny Climate Action (UCA). UCA is part of PUT (Pitmedden Udny Tarves Community SCIO SC045547). PUT also undertakes all the flower planting in Pitmedden, along with associated environmental initiatives in the area.
The purpose of UCA is to develop and support initiatives to combat climate change and reduce its harmful effects on the environment
We work with:
Udny Community Trust. Our local Development Trust which owns a 800kw wind turbine and a community Cafe building, resources.
Pitmedden Amenities Trust. PAT run a village hall and administer the community owned parkland in the village centre
Tarves, Foveran and Udny Community Councils, who gather and help collate local opinion.
Aberdeenshire Council, our principal Local Authority.
Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action (AVA). They are the voice of the third sector and voluntary organisations in the Formartine Area of Aberdeenshire. where we live.
CRNS ( Community Resources Network Scotland). CRNS speaks for community groups and social enterprises who support or participate in support for the circular economy through waste reduction, reuse, repurposing, recycling.
