Booklet ‘Our Future Homes: a guide to retrofitting and heat pumps’

UCA, in association with Zero Carbon Daviot’, is publishing this booklet which will be circulated to all households in Udny, Cultercullen, Tarves, Udny Station and Daviot. What we need to consider to take our homes to towards zero carbon is receiving greater publicity and we hope this initiative will give people ideas for addressing the challenge.

Tree planting and tree nursery

We have again received free whips (mixed native species) from the Woodland Trust. We will be planting these at various locations in the Parish on Saturday 19th March starting at 1-30pm. Volunteers needed. Check our FB pages nearer the time for where to meet.

We have started a tree nursery at Coulliehare allotments using locally sourced seeds to supply a long term supply of saplings. We have received funding for tools etc. Interested in helping with the nursery?  Please email- climate_action_admin@udny.org

Zero Waste Udny

In conjunction with Udny Community Shelf, we are running a zero waste event in the Pitmedden Hall on Saturday 26th March from 9-30 to 12-30pm. Details on attached flyer. Donations for the swop shop (DVDs/CDs; clothes; books; toys) and electrical goods (for sale by Stella’s Voice) can be made on the day. However earlier drop off will be available for those who can’t come. Details of this will be on our FB pages nearer the day.
